Cooperation
with SDU
|
 |
|
|
Shandong
University (SDU) in China became CNEEC's long-term
cooperating
partner in 2001. Under this cooperation, the General
Study Program (GSP) was established, and
subsequently approved by the Education Committee of Shandong Province of China.
Currently, more than
116 students, after completing their two
years of study in the GSP
of Shandong University in 2003 and 2004, have transferred
to over ten Canadian universities, including, University of British Columbia,
University of Alberta, University of Victoria, and York University. |

|
|
At present, more than
150 students are studying in
the GSP at Shandong University.
Under the backdrop of China's
accession into
the WTO, the Chinese Government is committed to developing
education cooperation with other
countries and is looking for more efficient ways to import higher
education. The GSP project under the cooperation of CNEEC and
SDU presents a successful example with its standardization and
systematization, high social appraisal in China, and positive feedback from relative institutes in Canada.

|
New prospective projects are being developed
under the cooperation of CNEEC and SDU in Canada, China and
other countries. Upon the trust of SDU, CNEEC was authorized as the
Branch Office of the International Office of Shandong University,
with the goal of promoting international cooperation and projects in Canada.
